The Photo Review: Best of Show 2023 on view AUGUST 5 through OCTOBER 29, 2023, will shine a light on 15 prizewinners chosen by noted photographer, teacher, and author Deborah Willis. The winners were selected by Willis from more than 1,300 entries to the 2023 International Photography Competition. Now in its 38th year, the competition is organized annually by The Photo Review, a critical journal of national scope and international readership.
Just In: Recent Acquisitions on view AUGUST 5, 2023 through APRIL 7, 2024 will showcase important works by Philadelphia’s contemporary artists acquired since 2019, highlighting a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, and photography. The exhibition will also feature recently acquired jewelry, offering a preview of galleries that are to be dedicated to metalsmithing and jewelry arts in Woodmere’s Frances M. Maguire Hall for Art and Education.
There will be an Opening Reception celebrating both shows on Saturday, September 9th from 1-3PM. This event is FREE and open to the public.
