Philadelphia, PA—Spend time among colorful trees and fall and winter blossoms at Morris Arboretum & Gardens with events and classes that are fun for everyone! Except where noted, all events listed below are free with general admission. Learn more about our events at morrisarboretum.org.

Morris Arboretum & Gardens WINTER hours

10 am – 4pm daily through March; last entry every day is 3 pm.

The Morris will be closed November 23, December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.

 

Holiday Garden Railway

Through November 30

The Morris Arboretum & Gardens’ annual family favorite, Holiday Garden Railway, runs November 24 through December 30. Experience a magical miniature world of model trains, historic buildings, bridges, and more—all decorated with thousands of twinkling lights. And now with 300 feet of new track! Winter Wellness Walks

Saturdays and Sundays, November through March | 10:30  am

Meet at Welcome Center, weather permitting

Free with general admission

Garden Highlights Tour

Saturdays and Sundays | 1 pm

Meet at Welcome Center, weather permitting

Free with general admission

Christmas in the Bryn Athyn Historic District

Meet at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral

Members: $115 | Non-members: $125

Get into the Christmas spirit with a guided visit to the Bryn Athyn Historic District. The tour consists of three National Historic Landmarks recognized for their remarkable architecture and craftsmanship: Cairnwood Estate, Glencairn Museum, and Bryn Athyn Cathedral. Holly Highlights & Winter Greenery Tour

Less Lawn: Making Woodland Restoration Possible

Saturday, December 2  10:30 am – 12:30 pm

Meet at the Welcome Center

Members: $35 / Non-members: $40

Property owners today can gain many benefits by converting land back to woodland as it used to be, including shade, more food and habitat for wildlife, lower costs from energy and mowing, and reduced flooding. Learn about grants available to property owners for restoration. Class starts in the Welcome Center, then we’ll drive to the Flourtown Day Use Area to see some lawn conversion projects. Learn how designer Larry Weaner combines design with the reproductive abilities of plants as well as ecological processes to create compelling, ever-evolving landscapes that bring new meaning to partnering with nature.
