Kelly Meashey
sets at 7, 8:30 & 10pm
Kelly Meashey is a vocalist, flautist, and songwriter whose voice “reflects the study of horns (as seen through her phrasing) as well as the passion of Soul and Jazz performers.” (Cadence magazine). She has performed in concert at The Chestnut Cabaret, Steel City, Chaplin’s, The Music Cafe, The Uptown Jazz Hour series, The Art Museum of Phila., Berks Jazzfest, Jazzbridge’s Jazz in the Wood, and the Ware Center in Lancasrer, Pa. Whether she is singing in a cover band, with Philly’s Jazz masters, or as a solo voice with dancers, her style is highly improvisational. She co-led on two recordings: Inner Urge with Randy Sarles in the Dreambox Media label, and, Songs of Living with Dylan Taylor on C.I.M.P. Tamara deMent

Tamara is a sought after and versatile musician noted for her dark, resonant tone and lyrical improvisation. She has been a featured jazz performer for events funded by the Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts, as well as Cape May Jazz Vespers, Jersey Shore Jazz Vespers and Cape May Music Festival. Originally from Atlantic County, New Jersey, Tamara studied the violin in Philadelphia. At a young age, she began studying with Philly’s iconic teacher, Julian Meyer of the Temple University Preparatory Division.

Mx D Underwood

D Underwood is a vocalist and pianist from Philadelphia and honed their craft under the coaching of Andy Kahn. Hailing from a family of gifted vocalists and instrumentalists, Underwood’s passion for music began at an early age. Since graduating from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, and studying Jazz Voice Performance at Temple University, they have performed at a number of venues, including The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Academy of Music and The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, World Café Live, Plays and Players Theatre, the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and New York City’s Lincoln Center. Mx Underwood performs regularly as vocalist/pianist in the Philadelphia area.
