Teacher Workshop | Inspiring Printmaking in the Art Classroom

Saturday, May 4 | 10 AM to 1 PM


Learn new strategies for bringing printmaking into your classroom and earn 3 PA Act 48 Hours while having FUN! Participants will experiment with making homemade stamps to create patterned papers with overlapping colors and textures. This workshop will be led by members of Prints Link Philadelphia, a collaboration of teaching artists who share the enjoyment and versatility of printmaking with students.




Studio Workshop | Creating Unique Beverages and Cocktails with Botanicals

Saturday, May 11 | 12 PM

$85 ($75 Woodmere Members)

Author Danny Childs will make a special guest appearance at Woodmere sharing his expertise in how to transform botanical ingredients—grown in the garden or purchased from a store—into tasty beverages and cocktails. The workshop will explore the primary techniques and ingredients for foraging and preservation outlined in Danny’s book, “Slow Drinks.”


Tuesday Nights at the Movies

On Tuesday nights, Woodmere’s main gallery is transformed into an intimate setting for screenings of rare and underseen films as well as classics. Tuesday Nights at the Movies is presented with the Chestnut Hill Film Group and sponsored by the Chestnut Hill Local. Donations suggested.

Directed by John Boorman, “Point Blank” is a gritty crime thriller starring Lee Marvin as a betrayed and vengeful Walker. The film’s non-linear narrative and avant-garde style contribute to its atmospheric intensity as Walker ruthlessly works his way up modern crime’s corporate ladder.
