A closing reception for both exhibitions will be held on
Thursday, January 19 from 6-8 pm;
with a Gallery Talk by Allan Edmunds at 7pm.
Both exhibitions close on January 22, 2023.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Festival
Celebrate the words and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr with an afternoon of artmaking activities, storytelling, and dance. From noon-2pm, children will learn about the courage, strength, and determination of Dr. King and many others who struggled for freedom and civil rights.
At 2 pm, participate in an interactive program with Hip Hop Fundamentals, a break-dancing group that teaches about student involvement in the Civil Rights Movement through dance, audience participation, and activities. Students will learn how non-violent action helped end segregation and experience the power of unity and diversity.
12 -2 pm: Storytelling and Artmaking
2 -3 pm: Hip Hop Fundamentals

Pianist Marja Kaisla: An Evening of Liszt, Brahms, Debussy, and Stravinksy
Enjoy an evening filled with virtuosity and excitement with Marja Kaisla’s performance of Franz Liszt’s Spanish Rhapsody, Johannes Brahms’s Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Händel,  Claude Debussy’s Estampes, and Igor Stravinsky’s Petrucshka.
Born in Helsinki, Finland, Marja Kaisla is an avid chamber musician, recitalist and orchestra soloist who has performed extensively in Europe and the United States, having had her Carnegie Hall debut in 2005. Among her many accomplishments, Ms. Kaisla co-founded the Philadelphia Foundation for World Music and Arts, an advocacy organization promoting the arts and social harmony.
