Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Weekend at Morris Arboretum
Visit Morris Arboretum’s Garden Railway on Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15, 10am–5pm, to see Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends take over the rails!
You’ll spot many of your favorite train characters chugging along the quarter mile track including Emily, the only female in the steam team; Scruffey, the freight car reported to have rotten wood and rusty frames; James, the red engine with a reputation for being naughty; and of course, Thomas.
The Garden Railway features seven loops and tunnels with 15 rail lines, two cable cars, and nine bridges. This magical world, complete with miniature buildings surrounding the tracks, is created entirely of natural materials and nestled among woody plants, colorful annuals and perennials.
During your visit, be sure to stop at The Shop at Morris Arboretum for unique train merchandise, including books, toys and Arboretum-branded T-Shirts. Free with regular garden admission.
