FRIDAY

  • 1 p.m. – 1:30 pm Friday Ribbon Cutting and Short Remarks (out front store 84 Bethlehem Pike) – rain date Saturday 1 p.m.; (This is about 5 minutes per person)
    • Short remarks from Jan LeSuer – as Friends of Chestnut Hill Library (FOCHL) President (including recognition of Richard Snowden/Bowman) and introduction of FOCHL Executive Director Amy Wilson
    • Prather O’Donnell remarks on behalf of the Chestnut Hill Library branch.
    • Short remarks from Richard Snowden – Bowman Properties.
    • Short remark from Phil Dawson/Chestnut Hill Business Association – welcoming us to the neighborhood
    • Short remarks from Sen. Art Haywood – about importance of literacy
    • Short remarks from Councilperson Cindy Bass – about importance of literacy and libraries
    • Short remarks from Rep. Chris Rabb
  • 1:45 – 5: 00 pm Guided Tours by FOCHL Volunteers & Designer (limit to 5 customers, every 15 minutes) *Hillary O’Carroll and Muralist Maddie Megargee to be on hand
  • 1:00 – 5: 00 pm Shop the Store (limit to 5 customers, 30 minute suggested visits); Noon to 1 pm (limit 10 customers)
  • 1 – 5: 00 pm (Every 15 minutes; Weather Permitting) On the Stoop (or across the street in parking lot) – Meet and Greet with FOCHL Board Members (hear about our vision of the bookstore and the community hub we hope to be as well as how to become a Friends member)

      SATURDAY

  • 1:00 – 4: 00 pm Guided Tours by FOCHL Volunteers (limit to 5 people, every 15 minutes); *Designer Hillary O’Carroll and Muralist Maddie Megargee to be on hand
