Our “Frontyard Farming” Series will begin on May 16th, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. … and will continue every THIRD WEDNESDAY of the month until the first frost in (hopefully) late Autumn.

Topics for our first session will include:
* defining your space
* knowing your soil
* preparing the ground
* raised beds vs. in-ground planting
* what to plant & why
* companion planting for beauty and pest resistance
* organic vs. non-organic gardening
* vertical gardening
* tricks for maximizing your yield
* the community bond inherent in neighborhood farming ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

???

You’ll need to bring a picture (or a few) of the space you’ll be using for growing food … a handful of soil from this space in a plastic bag … and you’ll need to know how many hours of direct sunlight your space receives daily.

You’ll get personal advice and questions answered related to your specific conditions … and to satisfy this purpose, we may run until 9:30 p.m. for an extended Q&A session related to gardening here in Chestnut Hill/Philadelphia/Zone 6 conditions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Cost for the class will be $20 per person and space will be limited, so please make reservations ASAP. ❤

To reserve your spot, text 717-327-7285 with your full name and best contact info. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #frontyardfarming #isabellasparrow#chestnuthillpa #chestnuthillphilly #neighnorhoodfarming #growyourown#phillygardens #chestnuthill #phillyfarms
