Due to last minute personnel needs elsewhere in the SEPTA system, this concert has been postponed to May 21st!

Join us Tuesday, May 21st at 5 p.m. for Music Fest on the Chestnut Hill West! We’ll start at Chelten Station for a set featuring local cellist Dani Hawkins, then hop on the CHW and head to Tulpehocken Station, where Dani will join Midnight on the Water, a string ensemble, for a set at 5:30. Then we’ll get onboard one more time to Carpenter Lane Station for the musicians to join Koof & Friends for the biggest set of the night starting at 6:20. Please join us for this fabulously unique event in support of our Save the Train/Step Up for SEPTA campaign!

These concerts will take place in the parking lots of each station.  Feel free to bring food and drinks for a post-concert picnic at the Mt. Airy EcoLab!

News from our coalition partners Transit Forward:

Hello all,

Thank you for your support in transit budget advocacy the last few months! We are in our home stretch, with SIX opportunities next week to have your voice heard in the SEPTA Operations and Capital budget hearings.

Click here to read what we’re pushing for.

Click here to sign up to testify.

Once you sign up, Patrick (copied here) or I will be in touch with talking points no later than Friday at noon to help shape your testimony. This year, SEPTA’s hearings are all being held hybrid – you can participate virtually OR in-person! Each session only requires your availability for one hour.

As I’ve shared before, if you only volunteer in one area per year with Transit Forward Philadelphia, this is it! We need you to win the equitable, responsible budget transit riders like us deserve in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Please reply with any questions, and I look forward to advocating together next week.

Cheers,
