Woodmere is Chock Full of Soooo Many Unique Offerings in the Winter Wonder Shop and Beyond!

From trinkets to tasties, experiences to experiments, we have something for everyone on your list! Check out (and check off) all we have to offer.

Woodmere’s Holiday Store

In addition to the year-round Museum Store, the Winter Wonder Shop showcases over 60 new LOCAL vendors with a curated display of eclectic goods including original artwork, ceramics, glass, sculpture, lighting, clothing, handbags, and jewelry. Many items are influenced by or reflect Woodmere’s permanent collection of art. While it will be difficult to refrain from self-indulging, shoppers will be able to check off everyone on that gift-giving list with so many selections, from symbolic Judaica to repurposed and sustainable Christmas stockings, art-inspired candles to kitschy keychains, and specialty foods to ephemeral novelties.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

Woodmere staff, Board of Trustees, supporters, planners, and friends gathered THURSDAY, November 30, 2023, for the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Frances M. Maguire Hall for Art and Education at Woodmere Art Museum.

The Maguire Foundation has generously given $10 million to Woodmere Art Museum for this endeavor, funding a major improvement to the institution and prompting it to rename the historic building. The gift from the Maguire Foundation, coupled with other generous gifts from the community, will fund renovation plans that include turning the spacious parlors and bedrooms of the 19th-century mansion into galleries for the museum’s permanent collection of works by Philadelphia’s artists, as well as a hands-on children’s art & education center, and public programming spaces.

With construction underway, this project is on schedule with anticipated completion in Spring 2025.
