Studio classes move online, then, outdoors!
To say that we miss welcoming everyone to the museum is an understatement. Recently we transitioned studio classes online. Now, as Philadelphia shifts into the Yellow Phase, we are excited to open registration for outdoor classes.

Father’s Day Initiative
Building on the success of Woodmere’s Mother’s Day initiative, the online Museum Store has added new gift ideas perfect for your loved ones. Send handcrafted items for birthdays, graduations, and Father’s Day while supporting local artists and makers. As a reminder, 100% of the proceeds from online purchases go directly to the artists. But hurry, the deadline to ensure delivery for Father’s Day is Monday, June 15!

Diving Board 2020 Podcast
Woodmere’s podcast, Diving Board, is a show about artists, the art they create, and diving into a wide range of social and cultural ideas. A new series of episodes called Diving Board 2020 revisits conversations about art and race, and asks how we got to where we are as a society, and what we must do to build a better future. A montage of thoughts from Suzanne Burgess, Syd Carpenter, James Morton, Jerry Pinkey, Ursula Rucker, and Karen Warrington introduces the series. New voices will be brought into the dialogue with the goal of advancing social change.

Things are looking up…
