Holiday Garden Railway begins November 24!

Philadelphia, PA—Spend time among colorful trees and fall and winter blossoms at Morris Arboretum & Gardens with events and classes that are fun for everyone! Except where noted, all events listed below are free with general admission. Learn more about our events at morrisarboretum.org.

Morris Arboretum & Gardens WINTER hours begin November 1.

10 am – 4pm daily through March; last entry every day is 3 pm.

The Morris will be closed November 23, December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.

 

Holiday Garden Railway and HGR: Nighttime Express

Beginning Friday, November 24

The Morris Arboretum & Gardens’ annual family favorite, Holiday Garden Railway, runs from November 24 through December 30. Experience a magical miniature world of model trains, historic buildings, bridges, and more—all decorated with thousands of twinkling lights. And now with 300 feet of new track! How can the Holiday Garden Railway be even more spectacular? See it at night! With laser lights in the trees and sparkling lights along the railway, HGR: Nighttime Express is a must-see! Daytime viewing is free with general admission. Nighttime viewing is available only with advance tickets. Tickets go on sale November 15 at morrisarb.org/holidaygardenrailway.

 

Winter Wellness Walks

Saturdays and Sundays, November through March | 10:30 – 11:30 am

Meet at Welcome Center

Free with general admission

Conifers Tour

Saturday, November 11 | 11:00am

Free with general admission

Join an experienced guide for our featured tour of the month. Explore the wide variety of conifers – both evergreen and deciduous – on display at Morris Arboretum. These notable specimens provide multi-seasonal interest with an array of forms, foliage, bark, and of course, cones! Holly Highlights & Winter Greenery Tour

Bundle up for a unique guided tour highlighting the Morris’s collection of hollies and other broadleaf evergreens that enliven the winter landscape and provide year-round appeal. Learn some fun facts and get new ideas for your own home garden.
