The Antique Gallery
The owner and operator, Gerald Schultz has maintained the most eclectic shop in Philadelphia to date. Opening The Antique Gallery in December 1982, his passion of the Decorative Arts has created a vast collection of Pottery and Porcelain, American as well as Asian and European. Upon walking through the Gallery, located in Historic Chestnut Hill, in Philadelphia’s Northwest area, the visitor is immediately taken in by the pristine polished sterling silver and silver plate, Hollowware and Flatware from England, France and America, dating from 18th century to the present.
The Antique Gallery buys gold and silver. They repair jewelry, silver, wood and ceramics
The shelves are adorned with art glass especially French Galle, Daum and Schneider. There is also Austrian Glass by Loetz and Moser mingled with contemporary selections.
As we move on we find pottery by Rookwood, Weller and Roseville interrupted by French and England 19th century copper and brass. Let’s not forget to mention bells and inkwells.
Interior designers are welcome to see our mirrors and paintings surrounded by candlesticks and fireplace implements. Best of all, collectors are amazed to see figural match safes and corkscrews, bridge memorabilia and knife rests. Gerald Schultz insists the more a collector knows the more he or she collects – so – COME LEARN!
You can find The Antique Gallery at Ruby Lane and in Etsy.
