"Wheels in the Windows: Red, White, Blue & YOU!" is a beloved patriotic community celebration that transforms Chestnut Hill's historic Germantown Avenue into a vibrant display of Independence Day spirit. This creative event brings together kids of all ages, local businesses, and community members to showcase decorated "wheels"—bikes, wagons, and scooters dressed up in red, white, and blue.
Beginning on Saturday, June 29th, shop windows along Germantown Avenue are decorated with a patriotic flair, featuring these creatively adorned wheels. The displays remain throughout the week, building excitement for the grand finale: the annual kids parade on July 4th, sponsored by the Bocce Club. This event perfectly captures Chestnut Hill's community spirit and creative energy.

Decorate Your Wheels

Kids of all ages team up with business owners to decorate bikes, wagons, and scooters with patriotic themes, colors, and creative flair.

Window Displays

Decorated wheels are showcased in shop windows along Germantown Avenue from June 29 to July 3, creating a festive streetscape.

Stroll & Enjoy

Visitors can walk along the Avenue to admire the creative displays while supporting local shops and restaurants throughout the week.

July 4th Parade

On Independence Day, the decorated wheels join the annual kids parade sponsored by the Bocce Club, celebrating community and country.
