Each pair will have a designated space to stash their books and justify those picks to their partner (if they wish).

We’ll also supply some light refreshments for your enjoyment and all books purchased as part of Not Your Average Date Night are an additional 14% off!

The Music Doesn’t Stop

Irish Duo, Killen and Clark have thrilled audiences from the coal region to the Jersey shore for more than thirty years. Featuring the astonishing vocals of Kim Killen, lilting harmonies, acoustic guitar and pennywhistle, they perform the classic repertoire of the Clancy’s, Tommy Makem, and other Irish music favorites. Killen and Clark will return to the Chestnut Hill Library on March 3rd at 5:15pm.

Celebrating April as both Jazz Appreciation Month and National Poetry Month, percussionist and poet Karen “Magic Fingaz” Smith and The Karen Smith Experience will offer a unique musical program featuring drums, keyboard, guitar, and saxophone. The founder of the group, Karen is a recipient of the 2023 Pew Fellowship and more recently the 2025 Illuminate the Arts Award. She is one of the most sought-after multidisciplinary artists in our area. Karen Smith comes to the Chestnut Hill Library on April 7th at 5:15pm.

The Battle of the Bookclubs Returns!

Most seats are sold, but not all!! Gather a few friends and snag those remaining spaces to join us for a fun night supporting the Chestnut Hill Library on February 28th.
