Calling All Nature Photographers:
Enter Friends of the Biennial Wissahickon Photo Contest
Co-presented by Wissahickon Trails and the Woodmere Art Museum
PHILADELPHIA – March 13, 2026 – If you’ve ever been inspired by the endless beauty of Wissahickon Valley Park, now’s the time to capture those sights and submit the images to Friends of the Wissahickon’s (FOW) 2026 Biennial Wissahickon Photo Contest. Returning as co-presenters with FOW are Woodmere and Wissahickon Trails.
The photo contest kicks off April 1 and the deadline for submission is October 15. Since the Wissahickon is a park for all seasons, the four entry categories will be: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
FOW will announce the winners on October 29 for Best in Show, Best Phone Camera Submission, and the top picks in the four categories. Photos will be reviewed by an expert panel of judges that includes nature and wildlife photographers.
This is your opportunity to “picture” the Wissahickon’s beauty for the chance to win cash prizes, a Family Membership to Woodmere for two, and show off your work in person and on FOW’s social media.
All photos submitted must be taken by the entrant within Wissahickon Valley Park, along the Green Ribbon Trail, or on one of the Wissahickon Trails-managed preserves. Up to four photos may be entered, in one or separate categories, and must have been taken within the past three years.
For complete rules and details and to submit your entries, visit fow.org/photocontest2026/.
