With a cast that includes John Cusack, David Strathairn, D.B. Sweeney, and Charlie Sheen, the film explores the pressures and divided loyalties behind one of baseball’s greatest scandals. The Night of the HunterTuesday, October 20, 7PM195592 minutes Robert Mitchum gives one of his most chilling performances as a murderous preacher pursuing two children who know the location of their late father’s hidden money. Charles Laughton’s only film as a director combines Southern Gothic menace, fairy-tale imagery, and striking German Expressionist-inspired black-and-white cinematography to create this thriller. Director Narciso Ibáñez Serrador turns an idyllic Mediterranean setting into the backdrop for a disturbing and suspenseful horror film. Presented in Spanish and English with English subtitles.
