Six Nights a Week—And Then Some![]() Four score and seven-ish squared days ago, the Blue Warbler brought forth in this neighborhood a new dining spot, conceived in friendliness, and dedicated to the proposition that all guests deserve delicious food, drink, and sanctuary from the busy world. Now we are engaged in a slight revision, testing whether that establishment can improve service by updating its timetable and offerings. In other words: you all have thrilled us with your enthusiasm, and we’re now adjusting our schedule to better meet your needs and traffic patterns. Starting next week, we’re adding Tuesday to the evening roster and serving dinner six times a week. (Every night but Monday.) We’re also increasing midday service. We’ll keep the dining room open continuously, instead of directing post-lunch and pre-dinner guests to our rear area, the Perch. From 2pm to 5pm, we’ll offer our full beverage program — coffees, teas, soft drinks, mocktails and ‘grown-up libations’ — and several more things from the kitchen than we previously offered during these hours. It will be a great time to pop by for a light meal or an iced coffee, tea or matcha and a cookie. We hope you’ll come unwind with a friend, book, laptop or sketch pad. And, lastly, we’re streamlining weekday morning service. We’ll now open at 8am for coffee and other hot and cold drinks, not to mention our fresh-baked bagels, muffins, scones and egg bites. At 11am we’ll add what we think of as a ‘brunch every day’ menu, with everything from pancakes and omelets to sandwiches, soup and salads. As always, there will be plenty to delight vegans, protein-seekers, and gluten-avoiders. The world will little note nor long remember this seasonal refresh, but the Warbler team would be remiss if we failed to note the far more important thing also occurring next week: Election Day. Please go out and vote, even if your area largely selected its representatives during party primaries. Think of it as a warmup for Tuesday November 7, 2028 — which will surely be an even more consequential day for government of the people, by the people, and for the people. ![]() Follow us on Instagram ![]() The Blue Warbler 8001 Germantown Avenue Philadelphia, PA, 19118 United States Powered by SquarespaceUnsubscribe |
