We found ourselves at First Friday when there was a jewelry show going on, and fell in love with a ring from an artist we never would have found without GLG; Naomi Kurita. We loved the ring so much we decided right then and there that it should be worn out of the studio! We worked with the team to have a matching piece made from the same jeweler; this talented team had us picking up the second ring within a few weeks! ”

Getting engaged at Gravers Lane is a very fun part of our very fun story; we’re moving out of the area soon, but are excited to have a favorite gallery to come back and visit.”

Naomi Kurita is a New York City-based contemporary studio metalsmith coming out of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, noted for its strong modernist design repertoire. GLG was fortunate to be introduced to her work through a gallery friend & collector, who often visits sporting several of Naomi’s creations. Naomi considers her work as “sculpture for the body”, balancing urban architectural structure with natural organic forms and lines. Her signature materials are sterling silver, 14k and 18k gold, which she often hand surfaces with textures evocative of a painter’s masterful brushstroke. Color often comes in the form of semi-precious and precious stones. Naomi’s work can be found in select museums and galleries across the US and Japan.
