Dear Friends,
Happy fall and a cordial invitation to join the Friends of Pastorius Park for our next group Volunteer Day on Saturday, October 24 from 9am to noon. (Rain date: Sunday, October 25, same time).
With nearly all effort being directed this summer to the NE Woods Restoration, there is MUCH work to be done in the main park. This is an “all hands on deck” appeal for your help, so bring a friend or two (or three!), if you’re able!
We will be mulching the youngest trees and some of the planting beds along Millman to prepare them for winter and block weeds come spring.
Bring work gloves. We have some rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows, but a few extra rakes would be helpful. Coffee, water and sweets will be provided!
Sincerely,
Friends of Pastorius Park
