Family Happening: Artmaking & Storytelling
Occurs monthly
Introduce your preschoolers to the enjoyment of art through stories and artmaking. Young visitors and their grown-ups enjoy reading picture books in the galleries, followed by an art project. Come back each month to hear a new tale and make something special to take home.

Classical Saturdays presents
An Evening of Tchaikovsky & Ravel
Virtuoso pianist Marja Kaisla opens our classical season with Tchaikovsky’s beautiful piano cycle, The Seasons, a collection of twelve piano pieces, each one representing a month of the year. It will be followed by one of Ravel’s most personal compositions, Le Tombeau de Couperin, dedicated to the memory of friends who had died in World War I.

79th Juried Exhibition Call for Artists: Seeing the Story
Woodmere’s annual juried exhibition highlights contemporary work in a wide variety of media by artists living within fifty miles of the Museum. The exhibition, Seeing the Story, will be juried by artist David Wiesner. This year, the submission period will be open January 13 through February 10, 2020. Interested artists are encouraged to check the Museum’s exhibition page for forthcoming details and updates.

Exhibition Closing: Our Town

A leading realist painter of her day, Edith Neff was praised for her dynamic compositions, her sophisticated use of color, and her ability to portray drama in everyday life. She explored questions of race, gender, and identity, probing the social and cultural fabric of Philadelphia. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this exhibition before it closes Sunday, January 19!
