Kenn Kweder is performing this week!

Born in Upper Darby, the folk-rock musician at first wanted to be a basketball player, but he later entered the music world with his first band, Kenn Kweder & the Secret Kidds. The fiercely independent singer-songwriter has been an iconic name in Philadelphia since the early 1970’s. Noted for his musically diverse styles – his influences range from Leonard Cohen to David Bowie and Lou Reed – he continues to be a vibrant force in the local music scene.

Community Happenings- Stag & Doe Nights

Chestnut Hill is home to more than 125 independently-owned retailers, from artisan bakeries to boutique toy stores, so it’s a one-stop spot for unforgettable gifts and hosting essentials. Even better, the shops on the Avenue stay open late – and treat you to hot cocoa, wine tastings and seasonal goodies – during Stag and Doe Nights on Wednesdays in December!

Stag & Doe Nights occur every Wednesday from Thanksgiving through Christmas. Chestnut Hill’s annual Stag & Doe Nights feature extended store hours, holiday specials, and complimentary refreshments at many stores. A brass quartet will roam every Stag & Doe Night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. You may even catch a glimpse of Santa strutting down the Avenue and greeting families from 6:30-8:30pm.
