| Thank you for being a volunteer for the Holiday House Tour in the past, we hope you can sign up again this year! This year we have 5 lovely homes along with a warming station, once again, at HomeWorks, located on Germantown Ave. Please click HERE to register for this year’s tour. Below is a description of the different types of volunteer opportunities available. Thank you for volunteering, we could not do it without you! Description of Volunteer Opportunities at the 2025 Holiday House Tour House Docent – main responsibility is to be sure that visitiors respect the owner’s home and its contents and to be aware of visitor’s safety by pointing out possible tripping hazards, etc. Additionally, as a House Docent you will be given information about the home’s history or unique features. We ask that you m the visitors time in the home as enjoyable as possible by sharing information and answering any questions you can. Registration Person – Welcome everyone, Check-in people at the registration tables, take payments, make sure all paid visitors have wristbands and program books, provide directions to trolleys, answer any questions you can. Mobile Check-in Person – for people who are self-driving and have already purchased their tickets. You will be checking them in, giving them wristbands and programs and answer any questions you can. Hospitality Person – During the morning shift you will be taking supplies for treats to each house, setting it up, letting house captain and docents know where any extra supplies are. For those who work the afternoon shift, you will make sure every house stays stocked and at the end of the tour, pick up any leftovers, serving dishes or unused supplies. |
