The Quintessence family is so excited to announce another season of summer camp at the historic Sedgwick Theater!!

Our camps are taught by trained theatre professionals with experience in teaching kids by having fun. Each week culminates in a performance for family and friends, an opportunity for participants to build confidence, explore creativity, and experience the theatrical process first-hand.

The best part is, our campers develop a life-long love of theatre and hone the collaborative team building and confidence skills that never leave them.

We can’t wait to welcome your family to our 2025 SUMMER CAMPS! Camps are kept small, and are filling up. Don’t delay!

Witness the magic of theatre at work as your child turns a classic children’s book into a live stage performance! Over the course of one week, campers will participate in theatre games and exercises designed to teach them all the skills necessary to bring Doreen Cronin’s lively pastoral comedy to life. Activities will focus on skills such as critical reading, storytelling, building stage confidence, and the fundamentals of acting. Family and friends are invited to join us at the end of the week for a performance of the campers’ work!

“If music be the food of love, play on!” A great session for Shakespeare newbies and veterans alike, our summer teen Shakespeare intensive is back again to teach your camper all they need to know to break down a Shakespearean text. Over the course of their two weeks, campers will fill their actor’s toolbox with skills for learning verse, text work, character development, and more, and then apply those skills by performing an abbreviated Twelfth Night. Families and friends are invited to the performance on the Sedgwick stage at the end of the session!

All campers must show proof of COVID vaccination. Masks are encouraged but optional. $100 of tuition is non-refundable. Withdrawals before July 1 are eligible for a 50% refund. Withdrawals after July 1 are not eligible for a refund. For questions about this policy, or other camp questions, contact Director of Education, Adam Pelta-Pauls.
