Night of Lights
Just one weekend left to experience this magical event!
It’s the last weekend of the Chestnut Hill Conservancy’s fourth annual Night of Lights! Whether you’ve yet to visit in person or want to check out one of this year’s projections another time before the exhibition ends, you’ve got three more nights to enjoy this year’s expanded celebration of local history and architecture.
This year’s event ends on October 25, so don’t miss your chance to check out Night of Lights from 7 pm to 10 pm tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday! Enjoy the historical images and films from the Conservancy’s Archives projected through storefront windows along Germantown Avenue, with neighboring historic buildings illuminated by colored lights.
And don’t forget to check out the Chestnut Hill History Hunt, Community Storytellers, and building histories, all available as part of this year’s new Night of Lights mobile experience! Text “Chestnut” to 56512 to access or click this link.

There’s Still Time
to Fill Out Your Pastport!
Pastports are available at participating retailers and in an illuminated box outside the Chestnut Hill Conservancy HQ (find a current list on our website) — visit each slideshow and win a prize!
Drop off your Pastport at any projection location, the Conservancy office (8708 Germantown Avenue), or wherever you see a Pastport Station sign in the window. You can also text or email a photo of the completed Pastport “Keyword” page to info@chconservancy.org. Be sure to include your email address in all submissions to receive your prize.
Your Pastport also includes information on participating businesses, special storyteller stations, building histories, and how to share your own stories and memories of the Chestnut Hill Area. Be sure to pick one up to enjoy the full Night of Lights experience!
Have Your Own Stories to Tell?
We want to hear from you. What are your memories of Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, Germantown, or Springfield Township? We all have stories to tell, and as we remember every year during Night of Lights, we can learn so much about our current world from the stories of our past and the places that are important to our community.
You can preserve your memories of your childhood (or of this current and truly historic moment) as easily as making a phone call–whether you’re out walking the Avenue during Night of Lights or in the comfort of your home. Just dial 267-820-8175 and press 0# to share! You can also email us to arrange a time to record your story at info@chconservancy.org.
