Morris Arboretum Hosts a Workshop forPhiladelphia Water Department’s “Rain Check” Program
On Tuesday, September 29, 3-4pm, Morris Arboretum hosts a workshop for Philadelphia Water Department’s “Rain Check” Program, which helps Philadelphia residents manage storm water at their homes. Designed to increase permeable surfaces and capture rain water in the city, this program offers participants a free rain barrel and/or a downspout planter, rain garden or porous paving installed at a reduced price. This program is funded by the Philadelphia Water Department and managed by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) in partnership with the Sustainable Business Network (SBN).
