Community stories from our past in the comfort of your home
We hope you are doing well. To enrich our minds and spirits during this strange time of isolation together, the Conservancy is sending out new activities by email every couple of days.
These activities – architectural coloring book pages, narrated slideshows, activities from partners & friends, and more – are collected on our
HISTORY AT HOME webpage, which is being continually updated with new content from the Conservancy as well as from our friends and partners. Check it out, and send us suggestions for things to share!
Illustrated Stories from the Archives
Narrated lectures and slideshows of our shared history
Today, we add “Forging a Community Fabric: The Houston/Woodward Developments” to the HISTORY AT HOME activities collections. This 13-minute video was made from the 2019 Night of Lights slideshow on the same topic. This slideshow was developed by David Contosta and produced by Leah Silverstein and Molly Murphy, with narration by Lori Salganicoff.
Email us if you have comment on or idea for HISTORY AT HOME content!
As you take your socially distant stroll through history, don’t forget to tag us on social media, @chconservancy on Facebook and Instagram and using the hashtag #HistoryatHome.
Stay well, and please keep in touch.
