Gravers Lane Gallery: located at 8405 Germantown Avenue in the historic Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, is pleased to present new paintings by local artist, Jay McClellan. McClellan holds a B.F.A. from Memphis College of Art, Memphis Tn., in addition he holds a M.F. A. from The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, Pa.
Mr. McClellan will be exhibiting a series of Large-scale paintings, including spectacularly stylized view of the ceiling of the “Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola”. He will also be including his well-known and loved portraits of dogs. The exhibition will be installed August 15th for viewing, with a formal opening taking place Friday, September 11th, 5-8pm. The opening is free and the public is welcome. A special “Doggie” opening, “Hair of the Dog”, Saturday September 12th noon-3pm. Bring your dog. Jay McClellan will be discussing his commission process for Dog Portraits. Additionally, Gravers Lane Gallery will be presenting a new instillation titled “Bias” by Korean Artist, June Lee.
