Gravers Lane Gallery has invited 30 of our favorite artists, jewelers and sculptors to
create unique lariats for this festive season of giving. From fine links of gold and
silver with beautiful gems, to heavy steel, reclaimed objects, colorful zip ties and
crocheted works of wonder, you’ll find pieces that straddle the line of
body adornment to wall art.
Interpretations of what a lariat can be range from local artists Trudy Wang’s color-centric, zip tied bursts of energy, and Leslie Pontz’s dramatic yellow crocheted lariat cinched with a glowing red ring, to Soonran Youn’s delicate beaded spheres, and Blanka Sperkova’s amusing finger-knitted wire work, “Jungle”.
