Happy New Year from Gravers Lane Gallery!
As we step into a new year, we want to express our deepest gratitude to all of the art lovers, loyal collectors, friends, neighbors, and new customers who supported us throughout the past year. |
|
Your passion for Contemporary Craft and its artists keeps the spirit of fine art and handmade work alive in Chestnut Hill.
In the coming year, we look forward to bringing you even more thought-provoking, beautifully crafted, and expertly made works. We will showcase artists who are legendary in their field alongside new voices who show talent and promise. We hope you’ll gather at GLG for our lively First Friday openings each month, where we can share a glass of wine, discuss art, and connect with one another and the artists themselves. Your engagement and curiosity inspire everything we do.
To our cherished artists — both long-time collaborators and new connections — thank you for trusting us with your work. We are honored to represent and support you. Our mission is to champion the Studio Craft Movement by sharing your unique stories, mastery of materials, and innovative creations with the broader community.
Here’s to a new year filled with creativity, connection, and the celebration of craft and contemporary art.
With heartfelt appreciation,
The Team at Gravers Lane Gallery |

PENLAND RESIDENCY
Our very own Kate Crankshaw |
|
|
CONGRATULATIONS to Kate Crankshaw who has been accepted to the highly sought out Penland’s Winter Residency program with a Fellowship covering all costs. We are proud of her ! Kate will be away for part of January to focus on her glass work. We can’t wait to hear all about the Penland experience and see what she’ll be making. |
|
Penland’s Winter Residency program is a short-term residency opportunity for artists seeking to work independently in one of their 16 studios. Practicing artists of all backgrounds and at any stage of their career are encouraged to apply for a 2-week or 4-week session. Shared studio access is provided to a small number of artists each session; they invite enough people to encourage conversation and creative camaraderie, but not so many that focused time in the studio is compromised. Penland’s goal is to support creative experimentation by offering artists the time, space, and equipment they need to advance creative development.
