The Conservancy is excited to share an upcoming event that promises to offer a captivating journey into the world of modern architecture in Chestnut Hill.
The Chestnut Hill Conservancy is proud to present “Three Houses from the Sixties,” a fascinating lecture by the distinguished architect and author, Professor Witold Rybczynski. In this illuminating presentation, Rybczynski will explore and compare three internationally recognized, remarkable modern houses in Chestnut Hill.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to gain insights from an architectural luminary who has experienced modern architecture’s evolution and witnessed Chestnut Hill’s transformation over the years. Plus, following the lecture, you’ll have the chance to purchase a copy of his newly released book, “A Story of Architecture,” during a book signing.
The event will occur on Wednesday, November 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting, 20 East Mermaid Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19118.
Admission for this exceptional event is $15 for Chestnut Hill Conservancy and docomomo Members and $25 for Non-Members. Registration is required, and you can secure your spot by clicking HERE.
We are grateful to our generous sponsors, supportive businesses, and the sponsorship of John B. Ward & Co. Arborists for making this event possible.
