Winner of four Academy Awards, High Noon tells the story of Will Kane (Gary Cooper), the town marshall who is about to retire and go on his honeymoon with his Quaker bride (Grace Kelly). Learning that a former enemy is returning to town to seek vengeance, Kane stays to face his foe. The screening will be introduced by Philadelphia Inquirer movie critic Steven Rea, who will reveal the film’s secrets and its political history.
