Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Weekend at Morris Arboretum

Visit Morris Arboretum’s Garden Railway on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 1310am-5pm, to see Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends take over the garden’s 15 rail lines!

Listen for the train whistle as you look for your favorite steam engine characters chugging along the quarter mile track.  The whole gang from Sodor will be in the garden, including Emily, James, and of course, Thomas.  No word yet if Sir Topham Hatt will make an appearance, but you may spot his track inspection vehicle, Winston.

The Garden Railway features seven loops and tunnels, two cable cars, and nine bridges.  This magical world, complete with miniature buildings surrounding the tracks, is created entirely of natural materials and nestled among woody plants, colorful annuals and perennials. The finished product is an enchanting landscape that never ceases to delight visitors both young and old.

Free with regular garden admission.  For more information about Morris Arboretum, please check the website,www.morrisarboretum.org, or call 215-247-5777.
