Shawn Hennessey and Chris Aschman percussion, steelpan and trumpet world jazz

Chris Aschman is one of Philadelphia’s most active musicians. As at home on the STEELPAN as he is on the TRUMPET, he brings a versatile and individual touch to the many ensembles he perform and record with.

Shawn Hennessey is a Multi-World Percussionist and Songwriter.

He has traveled to Ghana, Istanbul, Haiti, Tahiti, and all over the United States performing music.  He leads 2 very different projects:  Leana Song, a neo-traditional Afro-Cuban and Ghanaian drum and song ensemble, and Hennessey Bonfire, a worldly-groovy original music combo. Shawn teaches world percussion at Germantown Friends School, and has been adjunct faculty at Temple University, Curtis School of Music, and The Unversity of Pennsylvania.
