Calling all animal lovers! The Chestnut Hill Business District and Weavers Way Co-op are joining forces again to celebrate our four-legged friends!!
On Sunday, June 12th, Petapalooza 2022 will take place along Germantown Avenue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m with a variety of activities for both animals and their favorite humans.
Petapalooza is a celebration of all things “PETS.”
Guests can treat their furry pals to a day in the refreshing doggie pools,while their littlest human friends can enjoy face painting. Dog owners will have the chance to visit dog training exhibitions while also visiting onsite veterinarians and pet service providers. Exhibitors will include Weavers Way Pet Store, The Bone Appetite, Queenie’s Pets, Fairmount Bark, Chestnut Hill Cat Clinic, and more!!
For those guests without a furry friend, more than a dozen pet rescue and adoption agencies will be on location with animals looking for their forever homes.
Participating Chestnut Hill restaurants and bars will offer “Yappy Hour” specials starting at 3:00 pm. Pets are welcome to join their two legged-friends at participating establishments. Refresh with a “Puppy Love” raspberry wheat beer at Chestnut Hill Brewing Company who are also hosting a fundraiser for Citizens-No Kill Philadelphia with 20% of sales going to the organization. If you purchase a “Have a Pint, Save a Pet” pint glass, you’ll receive a complimentary beer and t-shirt. Stop in for a Barkarita at The Chestnut Grill & Sidewalk Cafe! El Poquito hosts the Modelo special artist van in front of the restaurant 3-7 p.m. where they will create specialty swag to give to our guests t-shirts, hats, bags and doggie-kerchiefs.$11 Salty Chihuahua- tequila, grapefruit, orange liqueur and a salt rim $5 Pacifico drafts
Many restaurants will also offer a specialty menu item for the day, like the Pupparoni Pizza at Cosimos Pizza!
This free family-friendly event is open to locals and visitors alike. Many Chestnut Hill shops are dog-friendly, and attendees should be sure to look for the “Dogs Welcome Here” signs in storefront windows.
