Sunday June 7
Noon – 3 p.m.
Calling all animal lovers! The Chestnut Hill Business District and Weavers Way Co-op join forces once again to celebrate our four-legged friends. Petapalooza 2020 will take place along Germantown Avenue with a variety of activities for both animals and their favorite humans.
Petapalooza is a celebration of all things “PETS.” Guests can treat their furry pals to a day in the refreshing doggie pools; explore their futures with a paw reader; and put their best nose forward for a pet caricaturist, while their little human friends can enjoy face painting, a bouncy house and more. Dog owners will have the chance to visit dog training exhibitions while also visiting onsite veterinarians and pet service providers. Exhibitors include Weavers Way Pet Store, Bone Appetite, Queenie’s Pets, Chestnut Hill Cat Clinic, and more.
For those guests without a furry friend, more than a dozen pet rescue and adoption agencies including organizations such as the PASPCA, Philadoptables, New Leash on Life, Finding Shelter, Blind Dog Rescue, French Bulldog Rescue Network, Humane League, Brenda’s Cat Rescue, Justice Rescue, Tiny Paws, City of Elderly Love, Lola’s Pet Pantry, Don’t Bully Us Rescue, PAWS and Morris Animal Refuge will be on location with animals looking for their forever homes.
Participating Chestnut Hill restaurants and bars will offer “Yappy Hour” specials. Pets are welcome to join their two legged-friends at participating establishments.
This free and family-friendly event is open to locals and visitors alike. Many Chestnut Hill shops are dog-friendly, and attendees should be sure to look for the “Dogs Welcome Here” signs in storefront windows.
