At Moondance, we’re celebrating the Philadelphia Flower Show by featuring the luscious floral works of Mt. Airy artist, Kathy Robinson. She’ll be here talking about her multi-layered, multi-media pieces and answering your questions.

Per usual, you can also explore work by over 70 other local artists, including lots of new pieces, while enjoying light bites & sips.

From Kathy:

In my mixed media paintings, I use a combination acrylics, mediums, Japanese papers, inks, and canvas to create various effects. Sometimes I also incorporate hot or cold wax techniques.

Working out of my studio located in the heart of my old Victorian twin in Philadelphia, my paintings sometimes walk a line between abstraction and realism with figurative and floral themes. The last several winters, I’ve had a temporary studio in the Florida Keys where I focused on mixed media tropical flora and fauna.
