Come by Moondance Farm Studios to discover Color + Light Part II: NEON ART
Meet neon artist Eve Hoyt and learn about how she bends glass, creates color and movement, and incorporates found objects to create her one-of-a-kind art pieces.
To celebrate Chestnut Hill’s Night of Lights event, we’ll also have Watercolor Aura Readings, light bites & sips, and music by DJ @nineofdiscs. Plus you can explore artwork by over 65 local creators.
And… all Neon Art is onSALE starting at 5pm on First Friday and running through the end of Night of Lights on Oct. 9th. Neon purchases come with a free gift (hint: Eve’s husband makes the uber popular ceramic “solo” style cups!)
Eve Hoyt is a Philadelphia based artist who began bending neon in 1989. After several years of working in the sign industry and looking to explore the possibilities of using neon as an art form, she set up her own studio, Evening Neon.
“My neon creations are one-of-a-kind, labor-intensive, handcrafted original designs. They are beautiful, luminous works of art that will last for 25 years or more.”
Creating pieces that are colorful, abstract, and often whimsical, her award-winning artwork has been shown throughout the country since 2001. Eve is also a member of the Philadelphia Dumpster Divers, a group of artists using recycled and discarded items in their artwork.
Moondance Farm Studios is located in the heart of charming Chestnut Hill at the corner of Southampton Avenue (across from the Chestnut Hill Hotel and next door to Hideaway Music)
