Opening Reception
Philadelphia artist and Chestnut Hill resident Kathy Loev Putnam
Putnam is a 2018 graduate of the PAFA Master’s Program (where she won graduate grant awards four years running as well as a coveted Fellowship Juried Prize).  She has been invited to several juried shows around the country and won an honorable mention at Foundry Art Centre, St. Charles, MO.  We are honored to celebrate the artist’s latest works at Tailored Home. which explore the illusory worlds of young children lost in imaginative play.  She is interested in the space inhabited by children  still young enough to presume themselves unconditionally safe. However, these playful scenes are marred by slight fractures, and visual incongruencies that portend awaiting realities.
