A Trumpet that makes the player go deaf. When a note is played, it is amplified directly into the player’s right ear. I wanted to make an instrument that hinders the body as much as it helps. This work is driven by questions of compromise and the ability of the human body. As a person with a physical disability, I am often confronted by my own issues of bodily ability and hindrance.
