Friends of the Wissahickon Hosts Valley Talk on Fall Bird Migration – October 18

In Honor of Well-Known Birder Ruth Pfeffer

Join Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) for its next seasonal Valley Talk when avid birder and wildlife photographer Troy Bynum presents “Talking Birds with Troy Bynum” on October 18. This free hybrid event takes place both in person at the Valley Green Inn and online via Zoom starting at 6 p.m.

Host of “Wildlife Wednesdays” on FOW’s Instagram page, Bynum will discuss fall migration, and how the Wissahickon Valley Park plays a huge role in supporting birds during the fall season, providing rich resources for food and habitat as they prepare for their journeys south.

This Valley Talk is presented in honor of Ruth Pfeffer, a longtime friend of FOW, expert birder and bird photographer, and owner of Birding with Ruth, who passed away in May.
