Chestnut Hill College to host annual Carol Night with CBS3 anchor Janelle Burrell

Chestnut Hill College gets in the Christmas spirit on Dec. 6 when it celebrates Carol Night, an annual tradition featuring musical performances, sing-alongs, and a visit from Santa Claus. Hosted by CBS3 anchor Janelle Burrell

CBS3 anchor Janelle Burrell will emcee the event, which takes place on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the rotunda at St. Joseph Hall. The college’s musical groups, including its jazz, string, and wind ensembles and the Hill Singers, will perform holiday songs both old and new. The performances conclude with Christmas carol sing-alongs and a visit from Santa Claus. The event is free and open to the public.

“Through music and friendship, our long-held tradition of Carol Night is a celebration of the Christmas spirit,” said Kathleen McCloskey, SSJ, an assistant professor of music and the chair of the college’s music department.

Following the performances, a reception will be held in the East Parlor of St. Joseph Hall. Guests can enjoy the college’s fully decorated campus, and children have a chance to meet and get their photograph taken with Santa.

Chestnut Hill College holds Carol Night on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the rotunda at St. Joseph Hall, 9601 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118.
