While Wheels in the Window “Red, White, Blue & You” will take a pause this year, the heart of Chestnut Hill’s Independence Day traditions lives on!
Join us on Friday, July 4, 2025, for the 109th Annual Chestnut Hill Bocce Club 4th of July Bike Parade, a beloved tradition that brings families, neighbors, and community spirit together.
The festivities begin at 9:00 AM, as children and families ride their patriotically decorated bikes down Hartwell Road to Winston Road. The fun continues at the Water Tower Recreation Center, where there will be games, kids’ races, field activities, and of course, hot dogs and water ice. The highlight of the event is when the Judges decide which child’s bike best captures the red, white, and blue patriotic spirit.
We will miss seeing bikes displayed in our shop windows this year. We’re already looking ahead to July 4, 2026, when Wheels in the Window will return, bigger and bolder in honor of America’s 250th birthday. As part of the nationwide Quincentennial celebration, we plan to bring back the bike display in a way that reflects both our local pride and Philadelphia’s historical significance.
Please come out and let us celebrate together in the spirit of community and tradition.
