“Big Band Jazz is coming to Chestnut Hill ! Join the MBJO upstairs at the Venetian Social Club in Chestnut Hill for “3/4 Time: 3rd Friday Big Band Jazz at the Venetian Social Club” for great big band jazz. There is a $25 cover that gets you the band from 8-10:30 PM and free lite food refreshments throughout the evening. A VERY reasonable cash bar is also available in the room that we’re in.

For those of you who are familiar with our Sunday dance events, this will be significantly different. While there will be a small dance floor for anyone who wants to get up and dance, we’ll be playing some of the newest, rarest, and greatest big band jazz that has ever been written. All new music and an entirely new format as the band gets back to our roots, playing jazz. We will feature 1-2 of our 5 singers each month, occasional special guests will join the band, and the mix of vocals-to-instrumentals will be a bit different than our other shows – featuring the band playing a bit more instrumental jazz.
