On this tour, led by George McNeely, you’ll delve deeper into Awbury’s architectural and historical significance. This 55-acre site features 25 historically significant buildings and has served as a vital part of Northwest Philadelphia’s history since the 19th century. You’ll explore how farmland was transformed into a picturesque English-style landscape and learn about the local architects and landscape designers who shaped this remarkable space.
Space is limited, so be sure to register soon!
Please note: The tour will take place rain or shine, and we encourage wearing waterproof shoes (no open toes) and pants due to uneven terrain and possible poison ivy. Further details about the meeting location and parking will be sent to registered attendees.
