David Callaway is an abstract contemporary artist working in acrylics. His process focuses on conscious and unconscious mark making – markers that display the conflict between expressing natural instincts and control. He experiments with new techniques and ways to communicate thoughts and ideas through imagery.

David often groups his work, which ranges from small pieces on paper to large canvases, into series that are rooted in the many things that fascinate him.
“The subject matter or starting point of my paintings are an attempt to create a lasting moment and reflect the interconnectedness with the web of life and a desire to move others to more deeply witness the natural world.”
