Arbor Day Guided Tree Walk

Friday, April 25th at 1:00 PM

with Jason Lubar, Board-Certified Master Arborist

Retired Associate Director of Urban Forestry, Morris Arboretum & Gardens

Meet at the Warming Hut in Pastorius Park

Join us for a special Arbor Day tree walk led by Jason Lubar, one of Philadelphia’s most respected arborists and a longtime friend of the park. We’ll explore the unique trees of Pastorius Park, share stories of their care, and reflect on the legacy of the late Paul Meyer—renowned plantsman and steward of this green space.

This is a casual, reflective event for anyone who loves trees, the park, or the people who’ve helped care for both over the years.

This event is free and open to the public.
Pre-registration encouraged, but not required.

Can’t make the event? Take a self-guided tree tour!

Discover the Pastorius Park tree collection in your own time, at your own pace. Use our self-guided tour map to explore notable trees at Pastorius Park. Download a printable map or use the online guide.

Pastorius Park is a Level 1 ArbNet Accredited Arboretum

In 2024, Pastorius Park was recognized as an accredited arboretum in the Morton Register of Arboreta, a database of the world’s arboreta and gardens dedicated to woody plants. As part of it’s designation, more than 200 trees and shrubs have been tagged with the name, cultivar, and planting date.
