Night of Lights History Hunt
Enjoy a fun and educational jaunt down Germantown Avenue with the Chestnut Hill History Hunt, a new feature of this year’s extended Night of Lights! Link your smart phone to a game that challenges users to spot architectural characteristics and points of interest. Accessing the History Hunt is easy and can be done from any smartphone or device by texting 56512 and entering the keywords Chestnut Hunt.
After linking to the Night of Lights History Hunt mobile website via a smartphone or smart device (see the above screenshot), you can identify clues to a series of questions involving buildings and other features along Germantown Avenue.
The History Hunt begins at the top of the Hill at the corner of Germantown Avenue and Bethlehem Pike and ends on the corner of Willow Grove Avenue.

Why Our Sponsors Support Night of Lights
Dantastic Food Styling – “Learning about the past can teach us about the future. In these most unprecedented times, it is more important than ever to support the Chestnut Hill Conservancy in its efforts to help educate our neighbors about the place they live now and about those who have lived there before them. The Night of Lights is a great way to celebrate the people and places who made the place we call home, home. Come learn more about who we are now by seeing who has been here before. Walk the Avenue and learn about those who have walked there before you.”
-Dan Macey, Dantastic Food Styling.
