Historical Photo Exhibit on Display at Friends of the Wissahickon Through Early 2018
Did you know that former site of the police station on Lincoln Drive was once a busy hotel frequented by members of the upper class and accessible by boat along the Wissahickon Creek (photo attached)? Learn more fun facts like this at “Hidden Histories of the Wissahickon,” a gallery exhibition of selected photographs from the Chestnut Hill Conservancy’s archives illustrating the long and varied history of Wissahickon Valley Park.
(FOW) is pleased to commemorate the Conservancy’s 50th Anniversary as host of the exhibit at is offices. (40 W Evergreen Ave., Suite 108).
The exhibit opens Sept. 12 and will be open to the public weekdays during normal hours through early 2018.
