Dear friend of the Papermill Food Hub,

Thank you so much for your support. We wanted to update you on what we’ve been doing recently, and to show you exactly how your donation is being used.

We began in June 2020, distributing to 21 families, and as we approach our one year anniversary, this week we’ll be helping 81! These families have been hard hit by the pandemic, and our mission—getting food to hungry Philadelphians—would have been impossible without your generous support.

Here’s what goes out to each family every week:
  • a quart of rice
  • a protein (beans, tuna, or chicken)
  • pasta
  • bread
  • produce
  • eggs

53 of our families also receive at least one pack of diapers in the appropriate size for their child. (If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll see how our founder buys these supplies at Costco each week, and you’ll find out just how much a Nissan Rogue can hold!).

Thanks also to these local businesses which give us fresh bread and use of their kitchens: Liberty KitchenBaker St. BreadCake of Chestnut Hill, and HeartStone Pastry. And, of course, to our home, the Papermill, which gives us the space to sort and pack our deliveries.

And to our volunteer drivers, who come every Sunday morning to pick up and distribute the packages: we love you!

Many of our families have asked us to pass on their thanks to you. We would like to add our thanks to theirs; we truly could not exist without you. We hope you will continue to support our mission of bringing food to the hungry. Please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think might be interested; all donations are tax-deductible, and you can find a link to donate here.

Many thanks!
